The only Par 5 on the Green nine, if you are playing from the very back tee, take a moment to enjoy the view towards the Surrey Hills. From the tee a straight drive is required to avoid the two right side fairway bunkers. Running down the entire left hand side of the fairway is the practice ground. This is out of bounds but is protected by heather covered mounds and another bunker. The second shot again has to be straight, this time trying to carry or avoid the bunker some 90 yards short left of the green. Long hitters may be tempted to have a go and get on in 2, it’s worth a try! The green sits up from the fairway and anything just short tends to get stopped by the slope. To the right is two bunkers will catch any pushed shots. The green itself looks very flat, but like so many greens at St George’s Hill there are many subtle breaks.
